The Beneluxa Initiative believes the current developments in the pharmaceutical system require coordination - to safeguard long-term affordable pharmaceutical care for European patients, while providing a strong and targeted approach to innovation in Europe.
We call for:
- Deeper cooperation and joint efforts on pricing & reimbursement, including enhanced information-sharing and quick expantion of the uptake of HTA-R outcomes
- Exploring collaborative approaches on pricing and purchasing, including those facilitated by the Critical Medicines Act
- A debate around a demand-driven system that allows countries to determine their true unmet needs and willingness to pay
- A comprehensive analysis of Europe's unique innovative and industrial qualities
Our shared goal: to preserve Europe's solidarity-based systems in order to guarantee equitable access to safe and effective health care for all patients.
